Jesus Fix are not your typical goth band. Unlike 90% of the goth scene who are content sounding like either the Sisters Of Mercy, The Mission or Placebo; Jesus Fix draw their inspirations from further afield whilst still maintaining a distinctive goth sound. Their music is far more hard hitting than your standard goth group who have yet to realise music has to keep mutating from its original sound to maintain its freshness. Sure the music that Jesus Fix play will probably be too heavy for you pussy goths who cannot see past the 80's, but then again you lot have had your heads stuck in the sand for years and are losers anyway.

This was the first time for Jesus Fix at this venue. Most of the audience went to the effort of going fancy dress for this Halloween bash. Some of you pulled it off and looked the part, but some of you looked like twats.

The band as always lets their music do the talking. The intro tape with angelic choir, dry ice and strobe lights set the atmosphere for the full-on energy, hard hitting goth that was unleashed on "Fear Of Sleep" and "Angels". The next couple of songs saw the power maintained at a mid-pace speed. Although "Tread Mill" is a bit dull in comparison with the other songs in the set tonight. By the time the dramatic keyboard intro, followed by that opening riffing which opens the floodgates for their title track "Jesus Fix", the band have the audience eating out of their hands.

Tonight Jesus Fix showed the audience that goth music can pack a punch, be exciting and full of energy if you have the right mix of aggression and melody. This band certainly have this in full abundance with infectious riffs and catchy choruses. They know how to compose each song to make them memorable. Why the audience took so long to realise this I don't know. Jesus Fix definitely won this audience over eventually and helped spread the word that Jesus Fix are going to be the name on every goth's lips if they get all the right breaks.
